The first school weeks are gone – time for the rally quiz at fahr(T)raum
Thursday, school´s out and it´s raining – what can you do? The best rainy day program for young explorers and car fans: the children’s workshop in the Ferdinand Porsche Erlebniswelten fahr(T)raum in Mattsee. Every Thursday afternoon from 2:30 to 4:30 pm there is a varied children’s program for children from 5 years old. Hands-on trying-out, exploring and experiencing technology close up is not only top priority for experiments in the discoverer´s corner. In the children’s workshop, creativity is demanded for in crafting, painting and building.
A special new highlight is the exciting daily rally quiz. Children receive a colourful illustrated quiz book as they enter. There are puzzles to solve at different stations. If they worked out the solution word, they may proceed to the medal-awarding ceremony on the winner’s podium and have their winner photo taken to take home with them.
From October, the children´s program will start every Thursday at the following times: crafts and research in the children’s workshop take place from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm and a full-throttle children’s guided tour using the simulators and Carrera racecourse runs from 3:30 to 4:30 pm. In addition, soon the two existing children’s simulators (tractor, Playstation) will be joined with some more in the style of the Prince Heinrich car of 1901. During the children’s tour the kids are looked after perfectly and parents can visit the exhibition undisturbed.
Alina Fröhlich, educator, looks after the young ones in the children’s workshop and is always amazed by the children´s researcher instinct. “There´s something here for everyone. Our program is so diverse, each can unfold according to their interests. Some race on the Carrera raceway or on the bobby car course, others are making paper planes for our paper plane runway, and they meet again in the discoverer’s corner for the experiments. It’s simply fun for all.”
