Das Automobil, das von Ferdinand Porsche konstruiert wurde, war die Sensation auf der Pariser Weltausstellung. Damit war eines der ersten Elektromobile der Welt geboren. Es wurde in Wien auch beim Patentamt als \u201eAntriebslenkrad mit Elektromotor\u201c eingetragen. Leider konnte sich dieses Automobil nicht gegen die Verbrennungsmotoren der anderen Automobilfirmen durchsetzen. Es wurden bei der Firma Lohner in Wien mit diesem Elektronabenmotor zwischen 1900 und 1905 insgesamt 78 Fahrzeuge gefertigt.
